My maternal grandmother was full of fun sayings. “Get a wiggle on”, “You never know from where you sit where the man on the balcony is going to spit”, - I could go on and on. A lot of these sayings I use today with my kids. One of my favourites was when she would entertain. She would quietly say to her family MIK or FHB. MIK meant “more in kitchen”, feel free to eat as much as you would like. FHB meant “family hold back”, there is just enough so make sure to leave plenty for our guests.

I have always loved the idea of there being more in kitchen, and more than just tea in my kitchen.

With my love of baking and home cooked meals coming from my grandmother - this nod to her feels just about perfect.
